Did you know that the Greenhouse of Walled Lake is Oakland County’s first fully licensed medical and recreational marijuana dispensary? They’re experts in ensuring that customers and patients receive the utmost guidance when it comes to selecting the right products.

Above and beyond that amazing distinction, owner Jerry Millen has always placed a premium on giving back to the community. As such, a visit to the dispensary means you’re bound to encounter an example of this. Especially over the next many weekends.

That’s because for the second year in a row, the Greenhouse and the Girl Scouts are teaming up.

The Greenhouse and the Girl Scouts – Classic Combo

If you went by the dispensary this past weekend and saw more green than usual, it was just the Girl Scouts selling cookies. And no, you weren’t imagining things. You may have even been expecting it.

Last year, when an entrepreneurial troop decided the Greenhouse would be the perfect place to peddle their delicious treats, Millen couldn’t have agreed more. So he made it happen.

When the troop sold over 1,000 boxes, it inspired other troops to ask Millen for permission to do the same. And a new tradition began.

“I have daughters of my own and I know the importance of this yearly event and how much the public looks forward to enjoying the one-of-a-kind Thin Mint, Peanut Butter, and many other cookies,” said Millen.

Carrying on the Tradition

If you didn’t make it in this past weekend, no worries. Numerous Oakland County Girl Scout troops are scheduled to sell their sweet treats each Friday, Saturday, and Sunday all the way through April 24th! These opportunities are a true godsend for the Girl Scouts who also do so much to give back to the community with the funds they raise from their cookies sales.

And you can expect to find Millen there graciously assisting the troops in setting up their cookie stands. The Girl Scouts will be selling their legendary cookies from 4pm-7pm on Fridays, 1pm-5pm on Saturdays and 11am until dark (time will extend later each week) on Sundays.

“We need others like Greenhouse of Walled Lake to allow us to sell our cookies in this fun and supportive atmosphere,” said one local Girl Scout troop leader. And Girl Scout troops can still reserve their spot by visiting greenhousemi.com/girlscouts.

The Greenhouse is located at 103 East Walled Lake Drive in Walled Lake, Michigan. They are open everyday from 9am to 9pm.

We Raise a Glass (of Milk) for the Greenhouse

As cannabis marketing experts, we know it’s crucial that cannabis businesses give back.

The Greenhouse’s focus on community over the past three years has been beyond commendable. It’s what this industry is all about. And we applaud them.
