They’ve decided if a marijuana product that is being sold or transferred contains tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) it must include the universal symbol. Opposite of this, they write if the plant or plant product doesn’t meet the definition of “marihuana” as defined in the MMFLA then the universal symbol is not required.

LARA explains how along with the symbol, the product, bag, or container must be sealed with a list of specific information. They report you need to include the date of harvest, name of strain, net weight, concentration of THC or CBD, name of the safety compliance facility that performed any tests and more.

The Associated Press of Leafly describes this symbol as an “upside-down green triangle with an image of a green marijuana leaf in the middle along with the words “CONTAINS THC” above it.”
