Have you tried CBD for chronic
pain, insomnia, anxiety or any myriad of other ailments, but didn’t find
success?

If you gave it a try or two and
gave up right away, you may want to reconsider changing your approach.

Consider microdosing CBD instead.

Why Microdosing CBD Is a Solid
Plan

Preliminary research on CBD
suggests that its anti-inflammatory and neuroprotective effects can support
those suffering from many different conditions.

As such, maybe your sister or best
friend raved about these benefits for their situation and told you what you
need to do to achieve the same results. So you did that. And it didn’t exactly
work out.

Problem is, you’re not your sister
or your best friend. And what works for one person may not touch another.

Bottom line – it can be difficult
to determine how much is not enough or too much. So you need to start with a
low dosage and then take it slow.

Sure, this can be a struggle.
Especially if you’re looking for immediate results. And you’re the impatient
sort. After all, we live in a society that praises immediate gratification.

Microdosing works on the
understanding, however, that slow and steady wins the race. In other words, be
the tortoise.

Where to Begin?

So how are you supposed to know
what’s considered a small dose? Settle down. We’re gonna give you some
guidelines.

Most medical cannabis experts
recommend starting with a micro dose of 10mg. And you may even opt to spread
out this amount into two or three doses throughout the day.

Once you start on this regimen,
take note of your symptoms. You can do this old school style with a pen and
paper. Or you can try any number of symptom
tracking apps. (Yeah. That’s a
thing.)

Stick with 10mg for at least a few
days to a week while charting your symptoms. You want to ensure that you’re
going to tolerate the CBD well before increasing the amount.

Then if it’s necessary, you can
gradually increase the dose by five to 10 milligrams at a time. Again, keep
track of your symptoms. And ideally, these ‘baby steps’ will eventually land
you where you need to be.

Microdosing is ultimately a method
of working your way up to the lowest effective dose that will relieve the
symptoms that are unique to you.

Measuring out the Correct
Amount

Sounds easy enough, right? Well,
here’s where it gets a little dicey.

CBD in tincture form is the best way to micro dose because you have more
control of how much you’re getting. With capsules and edibles, this is much
more vague.

Therefore, you need to know how
much CBD is in the tincture, as well as how much is in each dose of it.

Take a gander at the product label
for the total milligrams (mg) CBD in the container and per dose in the supplement
facts table. And remember, you’re looking for milligrams (mg) and NOT
milliliters (ml).

For example, most tincture bottles
contain 30ml of liquid. And a standard dropper holds about 1ml.

So if the label tells you that the
bottle contains 300mg CBD, then that means each dropper will contain 10mg. You
have to divide the amount of CBD (300mg in this case) by 30 (the number of
droppers full you’ll get in a standard 30ml bottle).

If there were 500mg CBD, a dropper
would contain around 17mg of extract. So to get 10mg, you’d need to take around
12 drops.

Then once you have a system in
place, you can slowly and gradually increase the drops as needed until you find
that perfect amount.

Nothing in Life is Permanent

Through microdosing, you’re trying
to find the perfect dose where you
start feeling the benefit from what you are taking, but aren’t experiencing any
unsavory side effects. Though, truth be told, adverse side effects from CBD are
pretty rare.

Then once you have that perfect
dose, be prepared for the possibility that you may have to adjust it again. It
isn’t that the CBD has stopped working. It likely means that your body – an
ever-changing and fluctuating system – has adjusted to the dose.

On the other side of that coin, if
you find a low dosage that continues to work, cannabis experts recommend you
stay on that dose long term rather than jack it up or start to lessen it. They
believe this can be an effective long-term approach to healing.

In fact, some doctors have
reported that patients using smaller amounts of cannabis were getting superior
and more sustainable results than their high-dosage counterparts with similar
conditions.

Get Serious about CBD

We know that CBD is often
overshadowed by its more illustrious cousin THC.

But if you’re serious about
alleviating your symptoms, and the psychoactive effects of THC don’t serve you,
then try microdosing CBD. Just be sure to choose the highest quality product with a clear label.

And if your cannabis business
currently offers CBD, don’t get lost in the shuffle of all the other businesses
doing the same. Contact us today.

We’ll heal your marketing efforts
so you can heal your patients.
